Well-written copy is one of the most powerful elements of any online marketing plan. Few things can boost your search engine ranking or website visitor reaction like good copy. If you don’t get the copy right -- everything else you do will matter very little!

When you're writing copy for your website, it's important that you write for the site visitor first and the search engine second. But, it's also just as important that you don't leave either of these groups out of your thinking.s

If you write for the customers only, with no regard to what the search engine needs from you in order to rank you high in the right category, then your ranking will most likely suffer. On the other hand, if you write only for the search engines, loading your pages down with senseless garble only for the opportunity to get your keywords on the page repeatedly, then the reaction (ROI) you get from your site visitors will be less than desirable.

Put simply, if you don't give the customer what they are looking for right away, there going to leave. Remember, in this day and age, finding an alternative to your site is as easy as a click of the mouse.
